我們以美國商學院研究所的申請準備為例來介紹：

美國的商科申請通常是Rolling deadline，大多是從前一年的9月中到隔年的2月。

在申請截止日前，要求提供英文檢定考試成績（托福/雅思），並且大多不接受後補。許多科系還會要求提供GMAT/GRE考試成績。除了申請表格和推薦信，商學院還會要求命題Essays，出色的Essays會讓學生脫穎而出，還有可能拿到獎學金！
越來越多的商學院會要求Video essays或者面試，通過多元的方式來考核學生的口語表達和應變能力。
